The Obama administration has done nothing for anyone in America, least of all the poorest among us who may be left out of Medicaid expansion in several states. I don’t care if Uncle Sugar provides millions of $$$ for the 31-unit Wet House at 1175 Lee Hill in Boulder, CO — what about the rest of Boulder’s 750 homeless people (2012 Point-in-Time Report)? The homeless shelter/services industry operates by the creed More Homeless People = More Money, so their incentive is to make every homeless person into a permanent dependent on the system. This is NOT compassion. To the contrary, it’s exploitation of the most vulnerable members of our society. Shame on Betsey Martens, Greg Harms, Isabel McDevitt — and most of all, shame on President Obama.
