‘More than 30,000 individuals received homeless services . . .’

See the article by clicking here.

“Johnston, who has pledged to end homelessness in Denver during his first term, says he will build or find 3,000 new units of income-restricted housing per year, a small fraction of the 60,000-some needed units.”

It’s still an undercount, and the Denver mayor is delusional.

Maybe we should leave Boulder Shelter out of the equation, if it’s so despised by the homeless!

BTW, those are apartments across Front Range Drive which are NOT part of the homeless shelter.

Extended forecast for Boulder, CO:

Looks like I’ll be huddled underneath a massive pile of blankets and comforters here at the sanitarium . . .

Maybe I’ll trade the worthless old roommate for this attractive young woman, who has experience in braving Arctic temperatures. After all, today is my birthday!

I hope word gets out in time for all those in need!

Why wait so long to announce the opening of an emergency shelter? Do city officials have more important tasks right now?

Addendum: They’re busily patting themselves on the back for opening an emergency shelter at all, so I guess their priorities are in order. /s

Answer to previous post: Apparently, not much . . .

There are only a few homeless people who can survive comfortably in severe cold; I was one of them for many winters here in Boulder, CO. It’s NOT reasonable to expect the city’s minimal gestures to provide real security for anyone else!
